About me

"We spend our lives on a thin slice between unimaginably small scales of atoms that compose us and the infinitely large scales of galaxies."

Hello! I'm Irene, a marketing fanatic with a degree in agriculture, who can often be found hanging off the side of rocks on the weekends.

I love the incredible potential marketing has to change businesses and lives.

It tickles me to be able to capture the attention of the right audience with the right words, design, and timing - which is why I religiously study buyer psychology and design best practices.

Understanding a business is my first priority and from there I'm excited to examine and build out unique conversion focused strategies. It's not enough to put together a good looking website, connection is key!

When I graduated high school I joined a startup non-profit seeking funding for a rotating hydroponic garden system. The system was revolutionary. It promised to feed the world from the Arctic to the Sahara producing food regardless of outside environment. With higher yields and lower inputs than traditional farming we garnered the interest of the Annenberg Foundation. Unfortunately, our proposal was rejected and I knew what I needed to study.

I attended UC Davis for the International Agricultural Development program.

My emphasis was in Environmental Policy, but I also took graduate courses in community development and studied green building methodologies in my free time. My goal was to do good in the world.

A lifetime love affair with plants and a deeply held belief in the power of education lead me to becoming a teaching assistant in the Introduction to Ornamental Horticulture lab; where I happily converted students to Plant Science majors as they discovered their green thumbs.

Outside of the university I spent some time volunteering with Engineers Without Borders, the California Native Plant Society, and Reading Partners in Sacramento.

I came to realize that the most effective and impactful thing I could do for my community was to help good businesses thrive.

6 years into climbing (and hauling a lifetime fear of heights) I flashed the second pitch of Surrealistic Pillar (5.7) and the first pitch of Hospital Corner (5.8) on June 16, 2019. (stoked!)
